Jonathan Boyle

CSAA IG | Senior Actuarial Analyst

Jonathan Boyle is an actuarial analyst with background in personal lines P&C insurance. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jonathan currently works at CSAA (an insurance carrier under the AAA umbrella) in Walnut Creek, and previously worked at Milliman in San Francisco. Jonathan has served in both ratemaking and reserving roles, and looks forward to attaining his ACAS credential soon with one exam left to go. Jonathan has been an enthusiastic participant in the actuarial DEI space over the past couple years, doing volunteer work for Abacus Actuaries, IABA, and OLA.

Joe Kropiewnicki, FSA, EA, MAAA, CERA

Deloitte Manager, Human Capital

Joe has nine years of experience in the Rewards & Well-Being space, focusing primarily on pension and healthcare actuarial work as well as broader compensation and total rewards strategy projects. He assists clients with pension and retiree medical valuations, medical plan rate setting and forecasting, and strategic plan design analysis. He is also the analytics lead for Deloitte’s Pay Equity practice, and he leads initiatives to help client apply data visualization and analytics to better understand their employees and make informed decisions about the current and future state of their workforce. Joe is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), an Enrolled Actuary (EA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)..

ALEXANDER RUIZ, ASA, FRM

Corebridge Financial Market Risk Management Chief of Staff, Head of Operations & Reporting

Alex joined AIG in September 2008 as a Senior Risk Analyst in the Market Risk Management department. He now serves as Market Risk Management’s Chief of Staff, and Head of Reporting & Operations at Corebridge Financial. Prior to joining AIG, Alex held several traditional actuarial roles at Pacific Life Insurance Co in both the Life Insurance and Variable Annuities spaces. He has 29 years of insurance industry experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara.

Alex currently co-sponsors the Hispanic/LatinX Professionals and Allies ERG and is a member of both the Corebridge and the Actuarial Development DEIB Councils.

BRENDAN STAMM

Liberty Mutual Insurance Senior Campus Recruiter

Brendan is a senior campus recruiter at Liberty Mutual in Boston, MA. In this role, he recruits for Liberty’s Actuarial Internship and Actuarial Development Programs, and also volunteers as an OLAA Coordinator. In addition to his recruiting and internship work, Brendan is also heavily involved in some of Liberty’s Employee Resource Groups, including Valor@Liberty, where he serves on the Talent & Retention Committee and helps support the Battle Buddie and Valor Mentorship programs, as well as Able@Liberty, where he is currently working with Able’s Career Committee to create new internship opportunities for Neurodivergent students across the organization.

Brendan has spent his career working with and supporting college students. Before joining Liberty Mutual, he spent over a decade working in higher education - in admissions and academic advising - and served as President of the New England Transfer Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Boston College, an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, and an M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

In his spare time, Brendan enjoys spending time with his wife, two boys, and four dogs.
