Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How is access determined for corporate sponsors? Access to certain Corporate Sponsor benefits will only be available to individuals with OLA Member Portal accounts that are associated with sponsors who have paid. As this information
is provided to the OLA Member Portal by the Corporate Engagement team, please email corpengagement@latinoactuaries.org if you believe your account is either 1) not associated with your company's
account/sponsorship and/or 2) your company's sponsorship status on your profile is incorrect (i.e. it shows as "Statement Sent, Pending Payment" when the payment should have already gone through). The FAQs below describe these issues further.
- How do I know if I my OLA Member Portal account is associated with my company's account/sponsorship? Sign-in to your OLA Member Portal account, navigate to your profile, click on the "My Profile" button at the top left
(screenshot 1 below), and scroll down to the Corporate Sponsor fields in the "Additional Information" section (an example is shown in screenshot 2 below).
- If you can see these fields, then your account is associated with your company's account/sponsorship. You should, therefore, be able to access the test page for your sponsorship level in the Events section
of this Content Hub (after signing in to your OLA Member Portal account).
- If you cannot see these fields, then your account is not associated with your company's account/sponsorship. Please email the OLA Corporate Engagement team (corpengagement@latinoactuaries.org)
to have your account setup correctly. In this email, please provide the name and email address used for your OLA Member Portal account (so we can locate the account) as well as the company with which you'd like your account associated.
We may reach out to our main contacts at your company to verify that you are authorized to access these benefits on behalf of your company.
- How can I find out my company's sponsorship level and payment status? Sign-in to your OLA Member Portal account, navigate to your profile, click on the "My Profile" button at the top left (screenshot 1 below), and scroll
down to the Corporate Sponsor fields in the "Additional Information" section (an example is shown in screenshot 2 below). If you cannot see these fields, please reference FAQ #2 above for more information on troubleshooting this issue.
- The "2023 Sponsorship Level" and "2023 Sponsorship Status" fields indicate your sponsorship level and payment status, respectively, for the 2023 calendar year.
- The "2024 Sponsorship Level" and "2024 Sponsorship Status" fields indicate your sponsorship level and payment status, respectively, for the 2024 calendar year.
- The "2025 Sponsorship Level" and "2025 Sponsorship Status" fields will be populated with your company's sponsorship level and payment status, respectively, for the 2025 calendar year when 2025 sponsorship renewals begin.
- The "Sponsor Engagement Indicators" field will reflect any programs and/or events for which your company has registered. As of January 2024, these indicators will only reflect a company's participation in the OLA Named Scholarship program
for summer 2025 internships. All other activity shown is historical. Other programs/events will be reflected when registration opens for other events later on.
- The "Sponsorship Notes" field will reflect any other details not already available in the aforementioned fields. Note this may not be shown if there are no notes to display.
- The "Sponsor Donation Statement Recipient" field is the only Corporate Sponsor field that can be edited by individual users as we'd like to use this information to more efficiently direct donation
statements to the correct company contact moving forward. If conflicting information is provided by multiple contacts at your company, we will reach out to confirm the correct contact who should receive the donation statement.
- If any of the information in these Corporate Sponsor fields is incorrect, please email the OLA Corporate Engagement team (corpengagement@latinoactuaries.org)
to troubleshoot any discrepancies in the records they provide to the OLA Member Portal team as this information is used to update your profile.
- How do I upgrade my OLA Member Portal profile to access the online communities? Follow the steps in FAQ #2 of this page: https://members.latinoactuaries.org/page/Profile-Upgrade-Info
