Overview

The 2025 OLA Avanza Conference will bring together OLA prospects (college/university students, recent graduates, and career-changers), OLA Members (actuarial professionals), OLA Leaders (Board of Directors, Program Managers, and Committees), Corporate Sponsors, and Industry/Community Partners for enhanced in-person networking opportunities, including OLA's familiar Mixer format, an in-person career fair, networking meals, and breakout panels/sessions for both prospects and professionals.

New for 2025: The rebranded 2025 OLA Avanza Conference will expand the programming offered during the 2024 OLA Early Career Symposium to feature both general and breakout sessions so actuarial professionals can earn Continuing Education (CE) and/or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Dates/Agenda

The 2025 OLA Avanza Conference is taking place from Wednesday, August 13, 2025 through Friday, August 15, 2025.

Location

The event will take place at the Sheraton San Diego Resort, 1380 Harbor Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92101.

OLA has a hotel room block reserved for confirmed attendees. The nightly rate is $269/night, excluding taxes/resort fees. The hotel room block link will only be distributed to attendees in their registration confirmation/approval email.

Registration & Pricing

Registration is now open through Friday, July 18, 2025, for all attendees.

Conference pass prices vary by attendee type, OLA membership status, early-bird pricing, and corporate sponsorship tier. Professionals employed at non-sponsoring companies/organizations can purchase passes to attend per the general pricing structure, while professionals employed at sponsoring companies/organizations can purchase passes to attend per the preferential sponsor pricing structure.

Full Experience Pass - Professional

The Full Experience Pass - Professional admission item includes all event features/meals for OLA Avanza Conference attendees, except for sponsor-only functions requiring separate tickets and prospect-only functions only open to OLA Prospects registered with a Full Experience Pass - Prospect admission item.

• Corporate Sponsors must register using the personalized registration links distributed to them on the Cvent Exhibitor Portal. Discount codes for sponsor-only pricing and included passes/tickets are also included on the Exhibitor Portal. Companies/organizations must first submit the 2025 OLA Avanza Conference Company Confirmation Form in order to receive Exhibitor Portal access. This form must be submitted no later than Friday, June 13, 2025, in order to confirm a company/organization's participation in the event, including reserving a career fair table. Email  corpengagement@latinoactuaries.org if you have any questions.
• Session speakers/presenters will receive information via the Cvent Speaker Resource Center (SRC) regarding their personalized registration link and discount code for their complimentary Full Experience Pass. Email avanza@latinoactuaries.org if you have any questions.
• OLA Leaders will receive their personalized registration link and discount code via email.

Full Experience Pass - Prospect

The Full Experience Pass - Prospect admission item includes all OLA Avanza Conference event features/meals for OLA Prospects (aspiring actuaries who are college/university students, recent college/university graduates, and/or career changers), including prospect-only networking/development opportunities with OLA Leaders and Corporate Sponsors!

¹Early Bird Pricing ends on Friday, June 27, 2025.

• Because the Full Experience Pass - Prospect admission item is subsidized assuming most OLA Prospects are not employed full-time (as they are seeking actuarial employment), OLA reserves the right to limit Prospect registration capacity at any time due to OLA budget constraints.

Tickets for OLA Mixer and/or OLA Recognition DInner + Celebration!

Individual tickets for the OLA Mixer on Wednesday, August 13, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM, and the OLA Recognition Dinner + Celebration! on Thursday, August 14, from 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM, can be purchased using the respective registration links mentioned above and selecting the Mixer and/or Recognition Dinner Only admission item (instead of the Full Experience Pass) during the registration process. This will then allow individuals to select the ticket(s) they would like to purchase per the pricing structure below.

 ¹Early Bird Pricing for individual event tickets is only available to OLA Corporate Sponsors and ends on Friday, June 27, 2025.
